creature of habit

I tend to be a creature of habit. Most of you know that about me. I like to do the same thing each morning when I wake up. (Sip some Mountian Chai and write.) I like to do the same thing every Thursday at noon. (New Moon with B.) I like to sit at the same table at the same restaurant every time I'm in Seattle with S. Creature of habit.

I like to know that there are a few things I can rely on in this world. A bit of consistency. I like it when the gal who usually makes my latte on a Monday afternoon is there to make my latte on a Monday afternoon. I expect certain things. Like children playing in sprinklers on hot summer days. And toilet paper being near the paper towels at Safeway. And beer or soda in the drink cooler.

So boy was I shocked today. The Chramin in the "soft drink" aisle really threw my for a loop. What's next? Bananas in a basket with the greeting cards?

What I want to know is, what is going on?
