a little update from my post earlier today. about a half hour after i finished writing it - a friend came to the coffeeshop to meet me. needless to say, not much paper writing happened.
And Emma, I can relate. I think that started for me about the same time that it's starting for you. The asking myself, "Okay self, what would really happen if I didn't write this paper. Would I still pass the class? Does it REALLY matter?" That's usually helpful in getting me motivated. Because the answer is usually no, I wouldn't pass the class. So then I go ahead and write the paper. However, those questions NEVER motivate me to study for a test. Because I say to myself, "Self, do you really need to study? What's the worst that could happen? Failing the test? So what?" And then I figure out what grade I'd have in the class if I failed the test. And then I don't study.

I'm a huge procrastinator but NEVER had a late paper in college, except once when I was sick. Once! Some people had late papers all the time.

I've never had a late paper either. Never.
